How does it Work?

A member was unable to afford prenatal care due to her out-of-pocket costs and was receiving care out of the country. Frontier was able to eliminate her out-of-pocket cost and still generate more than $2K in savings for her employer after paying for all needed services with her preferred providers including the physician, the hospital and anesthesia.

A member had her left knee replaced using her health plan. The member paid $3K and the plan paid over $30K. She had her right knee replaced with FDP. Her plan paid $21K and waived her out-of-pocket cost completely, and she was able to use the same great surgeon.

A member that was using FDP for her expected vaginal delivery ended up having an emergency C-Section with a premature delivery. The total billed charges for the baby's neonatal intensive care stay were almost $1.2M. The hospital accepted a little under $125K as payment in full on a cash basis. The mother had no out-of-pocket costs for either her delivery or her baby's care.

A member needed an MRI and was referred to a hospital and was asked to pay their entire $3,500 deductible in advance. FDP found an independent imaging center where the employer paid ~$500 for the same MRI and the member's cost was $0.
